I do not think any of the above would own plantations in the West Indies but no doubt many of them would have [expletive removed] the African women working with them. May be they do not want improprieties to show up in the testing. If this is the case then not allowing Yseq transfers, brings into question the level of accuracy in the FTDNA SNP testing.
Born with what you have, and I can not help being mtDNA X-DNA, Irish and Finnish on my mother’s side that is.

Unable to make me breathe, she deposited me in an unheated storage room so she could give attention to the “live“ one with a three-year old underfoot. The below freezing temperature caught my attention and my squalling brought her to retrieve me from the elements. Graduating from Mt Ayr High School in 1941, after short employment in the Mt Ayr Security State Bank, enrolled in IA State College in Vocational Education. Financial assistance came from 4-H and FFA sheep farm project, a $150 Sears and Roebuck Scholarship and monthly $20 loans from twin sis, Lois, along with her fine 1941 Xmas gift of a new Underwood Portable Typewriter. Entered the Navy 26 May 1943 and discharged 17 Feb 1946 at Ft Snelling, St. Paul, MN. Attended service schools or served on bases at Farrugut, Idaho; Michigan City, IN; Okla A.& M. at Stillwater; Ward Island, Corpus Christi, TX; Naval Air Base, San Diego; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; Norfolk, VA; Chicago, IL, and one year aboard the U.S.S. Makassar Strait CVE-91. This Kaiser built 560 foot aircraft escort carrier served in the Iwo Jima and Okinawa Campaigns and visited the Admiralty Islands, Leyte, Saipan, Guam, Ulithi, and Entiwetok. He graduated from ISU in 1949 with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering. He married 2 Apr 1948 in the Methodist Collegiate Church in Ames, IA, to Alma Anne BARNA. She was born 31 Jul 1925 in Troy, NY, and the daughter of Stephen Peter and Joanna Teresa [RYAN] BARNA. Her father was born in Keshmoresk, Czechosolvakia, and came to the United States 4 Jul 1895. Her mother’s parents were born in Ireland. Alma graduated from ISU in Dec 1948 with a B.S. degree in Nutrition. She was employed several years as a dietician in the Iowa Methodist Medical Center and in 1986 was a consulting dietician for three retirement homes near Des Moines. Loren retired 31 Dec 1982 from the Soil Conservation Service, USDA, having served as ass`t area engineer in Ft Dodge; planning engineer in the Little Sioux Watershed, Sioux City; Area Engineer in Topeka, Kansas; and Watershed and River Basin Engineer for the State of Iowa located in Des Moines. Thomas Allan and the ship’s captain’s brother John Allen sailed to London under the name Liberty. Returning with money provided by Daniel Stone, Elder and Big Brother John Stone, and Reverend Thomas Stone, he buried Harvard.
Granddaughter of sailor John Cloyse and granddaughter of Edmund Littlefield of Wells, Maine, married the son of Daniel’s indentured servant named Daniel. On board was Alexander Gordon, who, due abuse of seaman’s Cloyse’s wife, Danforth recorded, about 1651.

One can not choose their ancestors or their associations. My line in 1607 Armstrong – Ellott Border Pacification (genocide) ended up in Tullykelter, Co. He was a well known thief also, seems to be known in Ulster, Ireland also.

Pete Horton informing me he is a descendant of the Kittery Baptists fits in to him being a descendant of old brother Robert Elliot of NH-ME (Great Island). Pete and I, Mark Elliott do not carry the mutation of the first son of Daniel which is Daniel born at Otter Neck, MA at falls on Sudbury River.

The Armstrong and Elliott of Co. Fermangh (Maguire) have tribal tendencies. The Elliot’s 29th chief is Margaret of Redheugh, Scotland just south in Copeshaw-Holme (Newcastleton) of the Hermitage Castle. Capt John Allen Jr.
Capt. John Allen, Jr., son of John Allen “the dyer” and his first wife Rebecca, bapt. Jan. 7, 1615/6 at St. Martin at Palace parish church in Norwich, England. Capt. Allen followed his 10-year older brother Rev. Thomas Allen (bapt. Aug. 26, 1608) to Charlestown, Mass. by 1640. It is uncertain whether Capt. Allen m. his wife Sarah before crossing the Atlantic Ocean or after he arrived in Charlestown.
Briefly digressing, Capt. Allen’s brother, Rev. Thomas Allen of Norwich, England and Charlestown, Mass., was associate pastor of the Charlestown Church under Rev. Zachariah Symms. He m. 1) circa 1639 in Charlestown, Anna Sadler, widow of Rev. John Harvard, the namesake of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. and settled Harvard’s estate, which included the bequest that Rev. Harvard’s personal library be given to the then fledgling Harvard College.

The Quakers (Friends) in Pennsylvania, many arrived from County Lancashire England, and has good relations with the indigenous populations. The Mormons (Saints), as they arrived in the western states also had good relationships with the indigenous populations. Mainly it is because like the native population, they like to listen, not silence people. Though the Friends are their action, and the Mormon have doctrine, it is the action of people is what we go by. By actions Tom Udall, the Navajo, and Quakers in the US government are mainly allies.
The concentration of Latter Day Saints, are in the states-territories which women were first to vote.
The Society of Friends is strong on women’s rites. The first Quakers to come to Boston were ladies who arrived from Barbados.
Though the is a ladies hospital called Brigham in the region. Question whether their news is showing ladies taking leading rolls.
The family comes first, not the nation in family history. It seems that the grandma do a great job in keeping trace of family, and that is why the can be considered the archive of your family history. There are many tools which are making the search for family history faster. For family history those grandma’s previously are doing it in the proper fashion, the tools such as intercommunication, surname distribution, placenames (location, occupation, wildlife names, so on), DNA, and many more are and extension to the basics of family finding. The ones which utilizing silencing though this may happen where people do not communicate within a family this can be a great hinderance to family finding. If you are trying to best someone and not sharing information you are only besting your self. If you thing you are searching privileged information, you are placing walls around yourself. What you learned in life is restraining, to get beyond that dependency of shared knowledge is needed. Free speech not silencing is what democracy is about
